DIRECT – JAPAN 20150525

The postman has a habit of collecting all my mail and sending in one go. (once a week, or twice a week)

Here is a card I received from someone in Japan who I had a lot in common with.:D

Suigin Grove and Masaki, (1856), Ando Hiroshige

I have mentioned my interest in art and the classic Japanese Ukiyo-e (woodblock prints) — well, not to the person I sent to but on my profile.

I wrote to the user in Japanese (yes, exchanging postcards/writing to strangers is helping me practice various languages I’m already learning … or at least trying to learn.).

I was so happy to be offered an Ukiyo-e card in return as I wasn’t expecting it at all. ❤

I was an avid gamer back in the days (I’d still be if I had time..) and we had similar tastes in games (how cool is that!), among other things.^_^
